Diesel generator sets may encounter various problems in daily use, and oil leakage is one of the common problems of diesel generator sets. Oil leakage not only wastes resources, but also affects the stability of generator operation. Once oil leakage occurs, it must be dealt with to avoid unnecessary losses. What are the causes of oil leakage in diesel generator sets and the damage caused by oil leakage to diesel generator sets?
1. Paper pads that do not meet standards and quality requirements, such as insufficient thickness, improper storage, wrinkling and deformation, or unclean assembly with dust and impurities, are all reasons for leakage.
2. When the oil pressure is too high, it can cause oil leakage from the static joint surface.
3. The quality of static joints themselves is mainly determined by precision machining equipment and storage conditions. If the equipment has high precision, static joint flatness, and surface roughness that meet the requirements of the drawing plan, and attention is paid to avoiding damage, it may be difficult to achieve complete sealing of the static joint during storage and transportation. However, some manufacturers' equipment still has relatively low levels of precision and craftsmanship, and storage conditions and management levels cannot ensure that there are no bumps or scratches.
4. Poor maintenance and operational skills. At present, diesel generator sets are generally self-taught mainly because maintenance techniques cannot keep up. Often, self-taught methods are used, especially when disassembling and assembling the machine. Due to the lack of specialized tools, some parts may deform or even be damaged. Due to deformation of the parts, oil leakage occurred. At present, the general disassembly method is to unscrew the top inner diagonal of the main bearing cover by screwing the screws into the main bearing cover bolts. It is very difficult during the disassembly and assembly process, as the synchronous advancement of the two bolts is mainly due to the deformation of the main bearing cover.
